I recently had the opportunity to visit Carmel-By-The-Sea as well as the Carmel Valley as part of a Media Familiarization sponsored by Chatterbox.
Carmel is knows as a village in a forest overlooking a white sand beach,” Carmel-by-the-Sea is located on the Pacific Coast.
This opportunity included a stay at the one-of-a-kind Hofsas House as well as a stay at the Holman Ranch.
Carmel in the Fall is a lovely time of year to visit. It’s still as stunning as ever. It’s less crowded and the air is crisp and clean.
The hotel is within walking distance to everything Carmel has to offer, shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, gourmet food shops and art galleries line the main thoroughfare of Ocean Ave. where locals and tourist can find just about anything they need.
You will be in for a surprise to discover that you can do a wine walking tour. No need to drive from winery to winery.
We also had the opportunity to dine at The Beach House, which is located in Pacific Grove, right at Lover’s Point. It’s so romantic to dine right on the beach. The staff is very attentive.
We chose to dine on the patio, in the evening in very cold and windy weather. The patio is covered, however it was cold. They put two heat lamps right next to us to keep us comfortable. I enjoyed the surf and turf.
Our next destination: Holman Ranch. It was built in 1928. It’s nestled in the Carmel valley overlooking the Santa Lucia mountains with breathtaking views. It’s over 400 acres of beauty with their vineyards, mountains, olive groves and so much more.
The evening ended with a fantastic dinner at the nearby Wills Fargo Restaurant. It is a favorite in the Peninsula and was also constructed in 1928. They feature high quality, local ingredients; naturally raised meats, fresh caught fish, and organic vegetables.
The next time you have the opportunity to visit these beautiful towns check out all the places we visited.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
I was provided the opportunity to visit Carmel and Carmel Valley by Chatterbox. No other compensation was provided. As always, all opinions expressed here are 100% my own.
