It’s getting cold here. I actually had to turn on the heater. It’s Autumn with Winter quickly creeping in.
While winter is my least favorite season (and that’s putting it mildly), I do love the food that comes with it! Soups, stews, and hot drinks!
Brew me a cup on a cold winter’s morn as I spice it with love and stir it with care, and I’ll warm my hands, with a sweet warm drink, and you will be warm too.
How about a drink that actually does not have caffeine in it. Not everyone likes caffeine. Okay, maybe one or two people out of 1000 don’t like caffeine, (such as the hubby) but sometimes, if I have had my caffeine fill for the day this will definitely warm you up and the flavors of pumpkin and spices make a wonderful aromatic and tasty experience!
Ingredients
Serves 2
2 PP per serving
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spices
Directions
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine pumpkin, milk, sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla.
Use a whisk to blend well. Heat to a simmer; do not boil. Pour into mugs. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.
Serve nice and warm.
Make this for your guests as they are welcomed into your home this Thanksgiving.

I love this idea…perfect for Thanksgiving coming up next week! I recognize that green measuring cup
