This time of year definitely brings our the joy of certain dishes we love to consume. It’s the time of year that we start to make dishes that have lasting memories at the table. It’s also a time to start new traditions as well.
Walnuts are a great addition to many fall recipes and thanks to California Walnuts for providing me with a huge bag of fresh California Walnuts. My creative juices were flowing and I came up with a this great flavored recipe to add zip to your salads.

Lemon Pepper flavored walnuts
Ingredients
8 Servings
6 PP per serving
- 1 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 11/2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning (I used Trader Joe’s)
Directions
In a saucepan melt the butter and sugar. Add the walnuts and coat them with the butter.
Add the lemon Pepper seasoning. Coat and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Cool Completely.
Store in an airtight container.
Serve these as a snack on your buffet table or toss them on top of your favorite salad.
You can also grind them up and add them to panko crumbs and crust your favorite fish before you cook it.
