I have had turkey on the brain for days now. Which doesn’t surprise me Turkey sandwiches are one of my favorite. I asked a few of you what your favorite sandwich was and I heard some great choices from veggie sandwich to a crab and cheddar sandwich.
After hearing all those great sandwich ideas, and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, I made this incredible turkey sandwich using homemade cranberry relish.
Ingredients
makes about 10 1/4 cup servings
1 PP per serving
- 1 10 ounce bag of whole cranberries
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 whole clove
- Orange zest
Directions
In a sauce pan, on medium high heat, add the water and sugar. Let it boil.
Add the cranberries, the whole clove and the orange zest and continue to boil until all the cranberries are done “popping”.
Remove from heat and let stand until it about room temperature. Remove the clove.
Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
I used two tablespoons on my turkey sandwich. YUM!
Now hurry up Thanksgiving!
