Happy Sunday everyone.
I discovered last night, that I didn’t froth the milk long enough to achieve the correct result for my vanilla bean latte. So I tried it again today following this process below.
Milk Frothing Process
In a small but deep sauce pan, heat any type of milk over medium heat.
When it is about 120 degrees (at this point, you should be able to put your finger in for a second), reduce the heat to low and blend with a stick blender for 3 minutes.
Let it sit for about a minute and then spoon the frothy milk into your cup.
Pour the coffee over. So that’s how you froth the milk for your latte.
For the picture above I added extra foam so you can see what it should look like. It’s too much foam for the purposes of drinking a latte with foam.
My next project to to make that froth PINK. What is you favorite flavor latte. Is there a favorite Starbuck’s drink you would like for me to try to “lighten” up?
Do you have a french press? Lately I’ve been all about frothing milk for my homemade tea & coffee lattes. I found this method works great – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOmeJ9q4xX0
The key is to really pump it to get the desired amount of froth.
Here’s a pic of one of my attempt. – http://statigr.am/viewer.php#/detail/292708397345125190_10491
Hi Marisol: No I don’t have a French Press. I just use my Keurig. But your photo looks fantastic.
