Light Vanilla Bean Latte

All the rage these days seems to be trying to lighten up lattes like the kind you get at Starbucks.  I discovered that it is super duper easy to do.  If you want to purchase an inexpensive milk frother, you can get one here.  But it’s not totally necessary.

This handy dandy took will get you the froth you need to make an endless selection of lattes, in all your favorite flavors.

Here is my recipe for a Vanilla Bean Latte

Ingredients

Makes two servings

2 PP per serving

  • 8 ounces of brewed coffee or espresso
  • 4 ounces 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Vanilla Bean or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon sugar, optional

Directions

Heat milk, vanilla extract or vanilla bean and 1 teaspoon sugar in the microwave for about 60 seconds.

Foam milk with milk frother

Pour the milk on top of the brewed coffee.  sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
