Yay, today is Fresh Foods Wednesday. I link up to Gastronomical Sovereignty for her Fresh Food link up. Check it out and see all the other fresh food recipes on her site.
If you are lucky enough to have a Sprouts Farmers Market near you than you will know what great products they have in their store. And lucky for me, I don’t need to go all the way to Dublin anymore. They just built a new one in Walnut Creek. It’s right off Treat and North Main.
I bought a cart load of stuff, one of them being watercress with the roots still in tact so it stay fresh longer.
With the leftover micro greens I already had, I put those two greens together and served it with this salad dressing.
Simple, but the peppery flavor from the water cress compliments the Asian flavors in the dressing.
Ingredients
Serves 2
1 PP per serving
- 2 bunches of watercress
- A handful of micro greens
- 2 Tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- pepper to taste
Directions
Mix the soy sauce, vinegar, oil and pepper together pour over the greens and serve.
Serve this with my Poached Salmon, or my Black and White Sesame Crusted Chicken.
sometimes it’s the simplest salads that make all the difference. fresh seasonal greens do exactly that. love it.
