I absolutely love iced tea. I order it as my beverage at restaurants all the time. As a matter of fact, the hubby and I USED to go to Starbucks all the time for a shaken Iced tea lemonade. That is, until the hubby bought me my Keurig. So I do a shaken Iced tea lemonade all the time. The best part about it, is you only use 1/4 cup of the lemonade and no sugar added. 8 oz of lemonade is 3 PP.
The Keurig K-cup plus the lemonade and the added ice yields a 16 ounce refreshment for less than 1 PP per serving.
And you save the money from buying a grande shaken iced tea lemonade from about two bucks to pennies per serving.
Now if the summer would just last a little bit longer, all of you can enjoy a Shaken iced Tea Lemonade with me!
Ingredients
- 1 black iced-tea K-cup, or 1 black tea bag brewed with 12 ounces of boiling water for about 5 minutes
- 1/4 cup Organic Lemonade
- ice
- Lemons and mint for garnish
- one cocktail shaker filled with ice
Directions
Fill a glass with ice, add the brewed black tea. Set aside.
Pour the lemonade into an ice filled shaker. Pour the cold brewed tea into the shaker. Close the lid. Shake. Shake. Shake. Pour into another ice filled glass. Garnish with mint and lemon slice. Serve!
I know you are thinking, why go through all that trouble of making a beverage, when I can grab a Diet soda. So much easier, I know. Anyway, it’s so much fun to make your own, really. Next on my list is to make a sparking lemonade iced tea. Look for it in a future post.

My favorite is the passion tea lemonade from starbucks. So freaking good. I gotta try this way of making it.
Depending on how much lemonade you like, yoiu would have to add more than 1/4 cup. But this is exactly how I like it and I didn’t add any sugar.
