Cravings can get you all messed up sometimes. Like when you crave roasted turkey and it’s not even close to Thanksgiving! And I absolutely love Thanksgiving! How could you not love it!
Come on, who, in their right mind doesn’t love turkey, sans the vegans of the world. My whole family loves it. So that made me think why not try to make a turkey breast in the slow cooker.
If you adore the taste of a perfectly roasted turkey but don’t have hours and hours to tend to and wait for your heart’s delight, get out your slow cooker and, and believe it or not, roast a juicy, tender and succulent breast of turkey with simplicity and ease.
6 PP per 4 ounce serving
- 2 1/2 pounds turkey breast (I used Foster Farms)
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, shaved
- 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet mixed with 1/2 cup water
- Lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 can golden mushroom soup
Place the garlic and onion in the slow cooker in a single layer on the bottom.
Pour the water and Kitchen bouquet mixture on top of the onions
Rub the lemon pepper onto the turkey breast and place on top of the onions.
Smother the golden mushroom soup on top of the turkey breast.
Slow cook for about 4 hours on high, or low for about 7 or 8 hours — until completely cooked.
Serve the juice as your gravy with sliced turkey and your choice of sides.
You only need a fork and your hungry family.
