This is unheard of. Meatballs slow cooked in sauce and it’s only 1 PP? That’s right folks!
1 PP per meatball. Want to know the trick? Read on…
- 16 ounces 90/10 ground beef
- 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 white onion, chopped
- 1 cup Walden Farms 0 Calorie Ketchup
- 1 cup Walden Farms 0 Calorie BBQ Sauce
Using Walden Farms zero calorie ketchup and bbq sauce equals 0 pp. I found these products at Fresh and Easy. So Being a ZERO is a good thing after all.
Mix the bread crumbs into the ground beef. Be careful not to over mix because it makes the meatballs dry.
Form the beef mixture into 1 ounce meatballs. You should end up with 16.
Place the chopped onion into the bottom of the crock pot.
Next place the meatballs on top of the onions. The onions are the base and will prevent the meatballs from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Pour the two sauces over the top of the meatballs. If you have a large slow cooker, you might want to add more sauce because you need to make sure to cover the meatballs completely. Set the slow cooker to 6 or 8 hours.
You can enjoy it with 2 oz. of cooked pasta.
