Friday evening just couldn’t get here fast enough for me.  I was so excited to be attending my first food blogging major event with FoodBuzz.  I took Bart into the city and emerged from underground to a typical City day.  Streets filled with people bustling in and out of shops.  Macy’s, a San Francisco icon, in the distance.

I walked up Stockton towards the Grand Hyatt Union Square.

I immediately ran into Melissa.  It’s a great feeling to see a familiar face.  I went down the escalator, and registered for the event.

I was provided with huge bag filled with swag.

Damn, that bag was heavy too.  I noticed Annelies sitting on the couch admiring her swag as well. Thanks to Godiva for the coffees, chocolates and the mug too.  The bag was also filled with goodies from OXO, CA Walnuts, Lollihop, Duncan Hines, Cascade, just to name a few.

As we relaxed in the lobby Melissa and I sat and watched all the bloggers arriving to register for the event.  I met Ann, and Shannon.  After chatting it up and getting to know one another, we all headed to the first planned event being held at the Terra Gallery.

A cocktail party, dinner and blogger awards event.  Here we had a chance to mingle with other bloggers, sip on wine and enjoy great appetizers sponsored by Sabra.  Melissa and I joined Danica and TJ for some amazing appetizers.

The dinner  buffet was awesome.

It was great to see successful bloggers winning their awards.

Did I mention there was a dessert buffet too?

I left the event in awe.  Oh and a fully belly too.

Tomorrow I will post all about Saturday’s events which included a great continental breakfast, breakout sessions an incredible food tasting event with over 70 vendors and the gala dinner.  Until tomorrow folks.  I need to roll myself over to my treadmill.
