Thanks to Pom Wonderful, I won two coveted tickets to the SF Chefs 2011 Grand Tasting event that was held on Saturday, August 5, 2011 at Union Square in San Francisco. The event was held in a HUGE tent was erected right on Union Square.
Our first stop was a pre event cocktail at the infamous Gold Dust Lounge.
Then, we waited in line to get into this event.

It was packed. People were wrangling their way to get to the food booths.
They were also serving beer, wine and spirits for everyone to taste too.
But I have to say sexy was written all over the POM Wonderful booth.
Their summer gazpacho with shrimp was so refreshing.

It was interesting how many booth’s were serving pork, or their version of gazpacho
One Market served an incredible crab cake.
We sipped on POM-atini’s and Anchor Steam beer too
. Columbus Salame had three kinds of salami’s that were outstanding. One was wrapped with melon and mint.
We tasted the best crab salad, and crab chowder from other booths.

Two kinds of canolli.
Driscoll’s fresh fruit cups were served in these cute little wooden containers.
Trumer Pils was handing out Poppy Flower seeds for everyone.
It was so hot and crowded that we left after a couple of hours. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to attend this event.
Have a great week ahead and….
